Well, it's been a really good summer. I've gone to the other side of the world and back, and God is still good. School has been in session for about a week and a half now and so far it's going really well. The thought that in a year I'll be starting college scares the mess out of me! I get so scared of growing up sometimes and I don't know why.
The work God has done in my heart this summer is so great and He is continuing to do just that. He is showing me more and more to be patient with people and to love the lost. Being on the field this summer really opened my eyes to how many poeple really are lost in this world. Most importantly, God showed me how much more I could do at home. Going halfway around the world doesn't make you a missionary, it makes you a traveler. We're all called to be missionaries in the great commission in Matthew!
My goal this school year is to make the most of the time God has alotted and to make a difference in other peoples' lives. I want to be a big brother for younger people to look up to, a friend that is there for his friends, and a son who makes his parents proud. All of these things are great to want, but it only happens if it's acted upon.
I am so amazed at God's goodness. I find myself to say this often, but I don't think about it enough. I am so blessed to have everything I have and I don't show appreciation for it 80% of the time!
I plan to get back in the habit of posting. I hope I can be of some encouragement to you in the future.
